Taking screenshots allows you to take a picture of what you are seeing on your immediate screen. It is a relatively easy thing to do, and can save time when explaining a technical error. Here is a simple way to take a screenshot, and then save it as a JPEG image.

  1. Make sure that the page that you are on is opened and displays the error/issue in question.
  2. Press the "PrintScreen|SysRq" key on the keyboard to copy the screen image (as shown above).
  3. Open Microsoft Word and 'Paste' the image into the document.
  4. Save the document somewhere that you can remember. Click the "File" menu and select "Save As...". Select a save location (such as the Desktop) and name the file.
  5. Click "Save".
